Ps3 Dlna Protocol Error
Quote Postby liam58 » Thu Oct 30, 2014 2:44 am This is just an FYI, this worked for me. I received the DLNA error 2006 when dlna protocol error 2104 accessing video from my PC. After reading much and trying various solutions what worked for me was simply disabling and enabling the option of media server under network settings on the PS3. After doing this i now can watch video without the DLNA error 2006, thanks. On my PS3 it takes 30 seconds or more to list the files in a directory, and sometimes just times out with a DLNA 2006 error. I'll try your suggestion, but if I run PS3 Media server I don't have these issues, so it seems like it's a UMS problem not a PS3 problem. Anyway, when I had this problem I found another fix.Go into Network and Sharing center, go to change adapter settings (or whatever you have for adapter settings), open the router, properties, configure, find the advanced tab, go to speed, it should be set to auto, change it to 100 (I changed it to 100 full duplex, I have no idea what the full or half duplex is)And that's it, after I made that change everything loads in an instant now. Good luck.EDIT:OOOOK, it seems that routers come equipped with a bunch of other options that will also slow down your connection speed. Weird. So in the same area I disabled "green ethernet" "energy efficient" and "flow control." The first 2 for sure have speed impacts, the 3d I'm not sure about, but It hasn't hurt. Just wanted to let people know.BTW after doing this change shuttering on 1080p for me has decreased a ton.Again, good luck.EDIT: I also disabled Interrupt moderation which is supposed to help a lot as well Top Butman Posts: 3 Joined: Sun Apr 12, 2015 3:22 pm Re: DLNA error 2006 Quote Postby Butman » Sun Apr 12, 2015 7:01 pm I've been combing forums trying to figure the error 2006 out and fin

Any ideas? 0 mfeingol Director of Engineering Posts: 5,057Members, Plex Employee, Plex Pass, Plex Ninja Plex Employee June 2012 Every time I've seen error https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/42684/ps3-protocol-error 2006 on the PS3, it's the server not responding in time. You might look into Plex DLNA Server.log, see if there are any errors, or if responses are taking a long time to get back. I've also found the PS3 gets into modes where it just doesn't want to talk to the DLNA server. Following instructions from the forum I moved my PS3 next to my wifi router (Linksys WRT54G) and plugged it in -- i.e. converted it to a wired connection. All the errors went away immediately, I can stream from my Linux box running PMS 0.9.6.3.143-4466fb5 on Ubuntu 12.04, which is connected to my router via wireless, flawlessly. Fast-forward and related controls don't work yet but browsing the media server and streaming work perfectly. If I can help anyone by providing logs or any further info, happy to do so. 0 Sign In or Register to comment. Howdy, St

You may get a DLNA error message: DLNA Protocol Error 7531. Solution: First, make sure that all your connections are working correctly. Then navigate to the PS3's Media Server: Settings -> Network Settings -> Media Server Connection. Disable the Media Server Connection, back out of the menu, then go back to the Media Server Connection and Enable it again. This should fix the issue.
