I have imovie version 8, does anybody know what this error is and how to fix it? ThanksP.S. I hope I submitted this properly iMovie '08, Mac OS X (10.6.7) Posted on Aug 14, 2011 6:35 AM I have this question too Close Q: imovie error -2125 All replies Helpful answers by elikness,★Helpful elikness Aug 14, 2011 10:07 AM in response to kevinfromunderhill center Level 4 (2,643 points) Desktops Aug 14, 2011 10:07 AM in response to kevinfromunderhill center Another thing to try is bypass Share to iDVD and choose Share to Media Browser. Choose the Large Size, then let it run. It should complete without any further problems. Then quit iMovie and open iDVD. Create a new project, then click on the Media button down in the lower right corner then above the Browser Window click on Movies. In the Browser window there will be a iMovie star icon, click on the triangle beside iMovie to see all the videos, and choose the one you just shared to the Media Browser. Drag that iMovie project into the iDVD project and burn your DVD-R. I've seen countless folks on the Discussion Board suffer the same thing. Some have used Share to iDVD at least once maybe even multiple times. Then it stops working. I haven't seen one person write back to the board saying they had fixed Share to iDVD on their computer. Now one up shot of the extra steps apparently is the quality of doing the Share to Media Browser using the Large size is the quality of the final DVD is noticeably higher quality than Share to DVD. Which makes me wonder two things, 1. Why are there 2 ways to do this 2. Are there different engineers working on the

Lion I recently tried exporting 2:49 hours of HDV footage to a 1080p Quicktime using iMovie 11 on my brand new Mac mini. The initial estimation of duration was 13 hours, which rose to 21 hours and then 24 hours. This morning I discovered that the export had failed with a rather cryptic error code of ~2125. While I was on the phone to AppleCare (summary based on my first ever call: don't bother) I noticed that I only had 5gb of disk space free. Before I started exporting I https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3261798?start=0&tstart=0 had around 120gb free. What I discovered is that iMovie uses a temporary file, and in the case of a ~2125 error this temporary file is not removed. After much searching, I tracked my file to the following location: ~/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/ Here's the culprit:-rw-r--r-- 1 timdp staff 112589413689 11 Aug 01:33 ICMMultiPassStorage-526-bfffde94-1 Taking up 113gb (22.6% stats fans) of my drive. I don't totally understand what the terminal chain is doing, but is that file something you can delete to clear space for rendering? 13 July 2014 at 14:41 Post a Comment Newer Post Older Post Home Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom) about me Tim Poultney Winchester, Hampshire, United Kingdom My views and opinions are my own. Vital, really. There's no hard-and-fast guideline, but I always tell people that 12GB or more is an absolute minimum. For a video project, figure on a LOT more than 12GB.
