Check the privileges of this user or change the owner of this DTS and then run. ranjitjain, Apr 21, 2005 #2 Inkdot New Member What rights does it need to have to run the scheduled DTS?? Inkdot, Apr 22, 2005 #2 satya Moderator KBAhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q269074 to explain the situation. It is NOT recommended to use the local syst
this? The package runs fine from the Enterprise Manager (on a workstation, in which the SQLServer has been registered), but when scheduled as a job on the server, I get this: DTSRun: Loading... DTSRun: Executing... DTSRun OnStart: DTSStep_DTSCreateProcessTask_1 DTSRun OnError: DTSStep_DTSCreateProcessTask_1, Error = -2147024891 (80070005) Error string: Access is denied. Error source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package Help file: sqldts.hlp Help context: 1100 DTSRun OnFinish: DTSStep_DTSCreateProcessTask_1 DTSRun: Package execution complete. The "access is denied" led me to believe there was some security context problem. I thought the answer might be somewhere in the Microsoft knowledgebase; I found http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q269/0/74.asp . I made sure that both SQLServer and the Agent start under the same login that I used to log in to the workstation (to be sure the context was the same), but I'm still getting the error. Any ideas?
