Which ODBC Data Source Administrator did you start (they look the same)? To launch 64-bit ODBC Administrator use %SystemRoot%\System32\odbcad32.exe To launch 32-bit ODBC Administrator use %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe The architecture of ODBC driver must match the architecture of your client, I assume this is MS Office which is most likely the 32 bit version. ODBC driver for Oracle can be provided by Microsoft (Driver={Microsoft ODBC for Oracle}) or by Oracle (Driver={Orac

Are you running 32 or 64-bit Windows? Does Oracle require a 32-bit or 64-bit DSN? 0 Sonora OP Odessey Dec 17, 2013 at 5:13 UTC I am running 64 bit on windows 7 but VB 6 was on windows XP on 32 bit so now I am trying this vb 6 application written on XP 32 bit to run on windows 7 64 bit. I have to disclaim that I don't do much with Oracle but I think I can get you into the right ballpark. The ODBC console you are trying to use is the one that is in the SysW
