I keep getting an ERROR CODE 22, regarding case sensitive drives. I tried to find a reasonable solution to this problem to no avail. Can anyone offer a fix to this problem or do I just stay with Aperture until the new Apple Photos is launched and forget about switching to Adobe? 764Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Re: Creative Cloud Error Code 22 - MAC / Mavericks Rave Sep 27, 2014 11:29 AM (in response to PYREZ) Hi Pyrez,Adobe applications are not supported on an OS formatted with a case-sensitive file system. If you attempt to install an Adobe application on a case-sensitive volume, you get an error that the file system is not supported. (Case-sensitive volumes include UFS, HFS+ case sensitive [HFSX] or SMB formatted drive.)Regards,Rave
and now whenever I try to run the backup I just keep on getting the “Error 22”. Anyone knows why it comes up in first place? What can be done for http://themacmob.com/forum/fix-time-machine-error-22-mac-100741.html fixing it completely? This error in common means that there is some drive malfunction happening in your Time Machine backup drive where it just spins but not respond to the bus signals. There might be certain things which you need to follow for fixing this issue, -> Make sure that error 22 the hard disk sleep when possible option is not enabled. -> Go to System Preferences -> Energy Saver -> Power Adapter -> Uncheck the option Put hard disk to sleep. -> If you have connected the hard drive with some extension hub then connect it to the built-in port of your Mac. -> If you have installed any third party software which is related to the external drive then uninstall it from your error 22 mac Mac. -> If there is any firmware update available, then go ahead and do it. Make sure that you follow the above points and even after that if you are facing the issue then try using another drive and check if it works properly with it, if not consider software upgrade in your system to the latest OS release. described in "Recovering from a disaster". I have got the following error: """Restore Failure An error (22) occurred while copying. (Invalid argument) """ Does anybody got the same? Any solution? Thanks for any feedback Mauro http://www.i-cherubini.it/mauro/blog/ dnanian04-05-2006, 09:38 AMHi, Mauro. Have you mounted the image with File > Open Disk Image... and dragged the resulting volume (not the image file) into the source? martigan04-05-2006, 10:54 AMHi Dave, thanks for the hint. As I was not sure I did again the whole process. So, I open the image with the "Open Disk Image" command of the File menu. Then I drag the drive icon that appear a the bottom of the drives list on the left hand-side and finally the destination disk that needs to be erased and restored. The process start and when almost finished (95%), DiskUtility throws the error. Any other idea? Thanks a lot Mauro dnanian04-05-2006, 11:00 AMHm. Error 22 is "invalid argument". I'm not sure what might be wrong here, Mauro. I'd check to see if you can archive-and-install on top of the restored backup to put an OS down, and then boot from it and see if your files are there and OK. Scott Shuster08-22-2006, 08:19 AMInstead of using the Migration Tool, I dragged stuff onto my new MacBook in the time-tested style of OS-7.4 -- resulting in slowness. I did not know about the Migration Tool - "Duh!" - and also "Dohhh!!!" - !!! Tho slow, the computer has been working just fine, but obviously I'd like to fix its problems. The good folks down at Tekserve here in NYC recommended that as full-fledged optimization does not yet exist for the Intel Macs (no "DiskWarrior") I use SuperDuper to create a disk image on an external drive, and restore from that: They said I'd get some improved disk organization and 'speed' out of doing that. So I created the 'sparse' disk image overnight, and this morning sought to start-up from the image, but I'm getting 'invalid argument' from the get-go. The image works fine as a folder-full-of-files, but is not recognized as a potential start-up drive. In Disk Utility I'
