This is a problem for both windows and linux application server environments. An unknown error occured while trying to create user bmbouter@… on machine 174.129.102.220. The error from the machine was The user name or group name parameter is invalid. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2202. This is a real problem for openID authentication backend types since the username field is typically an e-mail address. For example, the username object in the ​Django development version now supports @ + . and - NOTE: This problem is VDI application specific. Was the patch above applied to the vdi code itself or to the idpauth stuff? In my opinion, this problem should be patched int he vdi code not in the idpauth stuff.
