Thanks very much, Flannan. Reply With Quote 09-09-2003,06:41 PM #2 Install@Slash Guest Avoid CD-RW and DVD Hello Flannan, This is a Windows Installer (MSI) error. Here are the probable causes:- 1. It most commonly occurs because the CD is dirty or scratched. 2. This issue may also occur if you use a DVD or CD-RW https://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?109143-Error-2349-Copy-Resumed-with-Different-Info drive. In your situation, it is most likely to be the second one The documentation "OFF2000: Error Message: Internal Error 2349..." is available from Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329386 Borland also provides a document "Internal error 2349 while installing ..." at http://community.borland.com/article...,28746,00.html To resolve the issue, 1. Please copy the setup onto your hard drive and launch it; or 2. Use a CD-ROM drive to install. Hope this helps resolve the issue. The installs did work if they copied all the CD files to their hard drive first, and then ran the installer from the hard drive. The installs were created with InstallShield Express 4. I recently got one of their laptops to test a new job. One application installed fine, but another one kept failing with the 2349 error. The solution: recompile the install with the "Compress Media" option set to "Yes". You may encounter Error 2349 when you are trying to install the RuneScape Client and will look something like the dialogue box pictured below Windows installer errors like this are https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207081705-Windows-installer-errors caused by something negatively affecting the Windows installer when you are attempting to run https://community.logos.com/forums/t/72153.aspx the .msi file. The causes of this can range from a previous version of the RuneScape Client not uninstalling correctly to some conflicting entries in your Windows registry. Zetterholm | Forum Activity | Posted: Tue, Jul 2 2013 5:27 PM When starting Logos today it said there was an update and did I want it to install. I say yes and it begins, but after "getting the required information" the following error dialogue displays: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2349.". Can someone point me to previous discussion of this error or help me install. I have a Lenovo Thinkkpad with 8GB Intel I9 running Windows 7 professional. I imagine that somewhere along the line I may have get logs, but wanted to see if maybe there was a known "quick fix" before I get involved with logs. Thanks for your help. Seehttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa372835(v=vs.85).aspx From somewhere else on the web, I found that it "can be caused either by a corrupted installer file or insufficient disk space on your c: drive. Please check the free space on your hard drive, then try downloading another copy from the web site." If you've got plenty of disk space, try running the install program again directly from here:http://downloads.logos.com/LBS5/Installer/LogosSetup.exe If that doesn't work, you might need to uninstall the partially installed bits of the program and then reinstall. Or you could try going into the Control Panel, under Programs and Features, find Logos and click "Repair". If none of these things help, another solution I found on the web is "Ensure that you are logged in with administrative rights on your Windows system."
