As a test, I tried then to restore the file (after storing a copy on my computer, since backup was my intent). Pinnacle gave me "Cocoa error 260" and deleted the backup file I was trying to import without successfully importing. Am I doing something wrong?A screenshot of the error is attached. I can provide more details, but didn't want to complicate the question with irrelevant detail. It would really help us out finding the problem, and we will delete our copy of the backup before allowing anyone else to access our Box account to keep your privacy.I will send log-on instructions to your email. I'm uploading via ftp to a server. It works fine and uploads completely while running in the simulator, but when I provision it on my iPhone, it says: Error Occurred. Upload failed: The operation couldn’t be completed. (Cocoa error 260.) Any suggestions? I've https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4869856/cocoa-error-260 been debugging and researching for hours on end and can't figure this out. I've tried cleaning targets, resetting device, resetting xcode. One thing I narrowed down was: NSError *attributesError = nil; NSDictionary *fileAttributes = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] attributesOfItemAtPath:self.filePath error:&attributesError]; if (attributesError) { [self failWithError:attributesError]; return; } In the device attributesError is true, in the simulator it is false objective-c cocoa ios ftp share|improve this question edited Feb 3 '12 at 21:16 Peter Hosey 81.4k12159334 asked Feb 2 '11 at 1:20 Chris 3,179114490 I thought the Apple documentation somewhere states that it is not a good habbit to check the error value. You should instead check if fileAttributes is nil. –v1Axvw Feb 4 '11 at 5:57 add a comment| 6 Answers 6 active oldest votes up vote 49 down vote accepted I've tried cleaning targets, resetting device, resetting xcode. Blind pounding on random targets is never a good debugging technique. At best, you'll fix the problem and not know how. At worst, you'll break something else. Instead, find out what the problem is. For a “Cocoa error”, you'll want to look in FoundationErrors
