fact that the component the file belongs to may not be installed". So how do you do this? I also dont mind setting a component to always install even if it wasnt updated. Is that possible and how? For more info on those see here: http://www.appdeploy.com/articles/msicustomactions/ The condition should look something like: $MyComponent=3 Reply With Quote Quick Navigation InstallShield 2009 Top Site Areas Settings Private Messages Subscriptions Who's Online Search Forums Forums Home Forums Products AdminStudio AdminStudio Compatibility Solver Workflow Manager App Portal FlexNet Producer Suite FlexNet Connect FlexNet Instrumentation Management FlexNet Enterprise Update Management FlexNet Licensing FlexNet Embedded FlexNet Publisher FlexNet Operations FlexNet Usage Management FlexNet Electronic Software Delivery FlexNet Advanced Organization FlexNet Cloud Licensing Service FlexNet Operations Cloud FlexNet Operations On-Premises FlexNet Manager Suite FlexNet Manager Platform FlexNet Manager for Cloud Infrastructure FlexNet Mana

(I have only a MainFeature). Why this error? The problem might be related to the fact that the old version is not removed properly (when uninstalling manually), as it remains in the control panel. But then installing the new version should work anyway. What can the problem be?I investigated further:When I remove the custom action referring to PureSyncTray.exe, the the installation end with no error. But nothing has been installed at all. How can that be? Even if there are some fragments of the old installation in the registry the new installation should work. Thanks,Chris Top GabrielBarbu Posts: 2146 Joined: Thu Jul 09, 2009 11:24 am Contact: Contact GabrielBarbu Website Re: DEBUG: Error 2753: The File '...' s not marked for in Quote Postby GabrielBarbu » Fri Jan 29, 2010 12:44 pm Hello Chris, Try using an "EXE with Working Dir" custom action or a "Launch File or Open URL" custom action for the "PureSyncTray.exe" custom action and see if that fixes the issue. If you still Please send your .aip project file to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate the cause of this behavior.Regards,Gabriel Gabriel BarbuAdvanced Installer Teamhttp://www.advancedinstaller.com/ Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3
