The size of my database file was relatively small (2.1 MB), but I emptied the cache to save some space. Basically, I didn't see anything that looked out of the ordinary. While the error went away, I'm wondering of this error is caused by something on my site, or could this be caused by another site on the shared server using the same MySQL install? Error 28 occurs when there is not enough disk space left for MySQL install to run properly. Then you start receiving error 28 messages. "Error 28" often occurs on Filesystem full. Hard drive full. Host oversell their shared hosting. Host misconfigured https://www.drupal.org/node/768530 their shared MySQL install. To fix this you must increase the space of your filesystem or make room by deleting files. In other words your hard drive is full and MySQL needs more space. If you don't have access you must contact your host provider to report the issue. This is happening on the Database Server because it is out of disk space or because your hosting provider has set a database size limit that your database cannot grow beyond for fair sharing of resources (shared hosting) Check with your hosting provider to have them sort the issue out. Alternatively it can happen when the system /tmp folder is full (separate mount point, disk full). Again a hosting provider issue unless you're running a VPS. 1030 Got error 28 from storage engine share|improve this answer edited Sep 22 '14 at 5:36 answered Sep 22 '14 at 5:27 Fiasco Labs 4,54831233 Thanks so much.
