The SCVMM 2008 R2 console displays Error 3133 - VMM could not connect to Source Computer after it restarted into Windows PE The Source Computer (server) bootscreen displays the following error: Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. ... File: intelide.sys Status: 0xc0000098 Info: Windows failed to load because a required file is missing or corrupt. Any ideas how to fix the Windows PE part of this sequence so that it has the required file 'intelide.sys'? I did place it into the import patch directory and through Power Shell ran the Add-Patch commandlet. After that I deleted the SCVMM agent on the source. Following those steps I again attempted the conversion but got the same results. **the source computer aka server's OS is SBS 2003 (Windows 2003 ) fully patched** Dale Unroe Edited by Dale DU-IT Monday, May 23, 2011 3:37 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011 6:29 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Server Garbage Collector - that's an interesting twist ...unfortunately I've already had to deliver a solution to the client by now so I'm not in the place I was when the thread was generated. Nevertheless if I get to where I can attempt another SCVMM conversion for another client or someone else finds this then maybe we can find out if this helped and resolved the obstacle.Dale Unroe Marked as ans

on a Windows 7 box. I have done an online P2V with this Win7 machine with no issue but I have to do an offline P2V for a DC. On the Win7 box I have it configured with a static address. I go through the wizard using VMM2012 with no issue selecting "Use the following IPv4 address" and binding the MAC address. All checks come back without issue. The Virtual Machine Client loads its driver and a virtual machine is created on my host machine. The Win7 box reboots into WinPE and simply has a command prompt with "wpeinit" on it and nothing more. Because WinPE does not contact the VMM https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/8471997b-a5ec-4b4b-a8ff-1f91e702c3c4/p2v-error-3133-winpe-boot-manager-missing-file-intelidesys-cannot-connect-to-source-computer?forum=virtualmachinemgrp2vv2v server after 15 minutes it reboots and the process ends. On my VMM server I see the process stops at "Create virtual machine" and gets stuck at "Copy Hard Disk" and "Boot the physical machine into WinPE". I am unsure what I am doing wrong in this process. An ipconfig on the WinPE session does not show the IP address I have specified and no NIC is found as well. The event log shows EventID:10009 Distributed COM http://www.networksteve.com/forum/topic.php/Offline_P2V_WinPE_fails_to_contact_VMM2012/?TopicId=41847&Posts=1 "DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer 10.10.80.201 using any of the configured protocols." Guide I am using: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc917882.aspx Any help I can get would be great service to me as I would like to complete this P2V sooner rather than later. Regards, ANolan January 10th, 2014 12:38am Hello, I have been playing around with WinPE and found this guide: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb740927.aspx Using step 3 Convert physical server fails with error 3133: "Virtual Machine Manager could not connect to source computer after it restarted into Windows PE." When I run the netsh interface ipv4 set address ""Local Area Connection" static 1" it does not work as there is no Local Area Connection interface. Using the netsh interface ip show config all I can see is the loopback address. Configuration for interface "Loopback 1" DHCP enabled: No IP Address: 127.0.0.1 Subnet Prefix: 127.0.0.0/8 (mask 255.0.0.0) InterfaceMetric: 50 Statically Configured DNS Servers: None Register with which suffix: Primary only Statically Configured WINS Servers: None I think what is happening here is WinPE does not have the correct drivers for my Broadcom network card. 0 0 03/29/12--06:09: ESXi to Hyper-V Migration Issue Contact us about this article My setup first: Server 1 : ESXi 4.1, using local disk storage only Server 2 : Windows 2008 R2 Data Center 64bit, SP1 installed, Hyper-V Role Enabled. SCVMM Server & Console installed on here, server is on the domain. Local storage. Nothing fancy in either of these. I want to move all the VM's from server 1 to server 2. I was not able to register the ESXi server in SCVMM, I couldn't confirm if this could be done or not. What I decided to do, was use SCVMM and do a P2V migration of each machine. So, did the first machine (SQL1), confirmed VMWare T
