If the disc that you are attempting to use is soiled, scratched or smudged, try wiping both sides of the LightScribe disc with a damp soft cloth, focusing especially on "pinwheel" features at the center of the disc.After ensuring the disc is dry and free of debris, try the labeling process again using the same disc. Recognition errors are often recoverable with subsequent attempts. 4. Check for firmware updates available for the DVD/CD recorder. Having the latest update installed is recommended for optimal compatibility and performance with newer types of recordable CDs and DVDs. 5.
