# 4215 or 4205 when I try to start Mafia 2K Support September 04, 2015 08:26 I receive a Init Error # 4215 or visual basic 6 runtime library 4205 when I try to start Mafia First, make sure you borderless gaming meet or exceed all the listed requirements for the game. This error will come up if any one of directplay windows 10 the requirements is not met on your computer. Also from the installation folder of Mafia, run the SETUP.EXE file. This will load the video and sound configuration options for the game, please try the following settings: Change the resolution to 800x600 Turn off fullscene antialiasing Turn off truecolor for lightmap quality/size Turn on compressed textures Turn on Low detail Once done click Save and Exit and try the game again. If you continue to get this error, go to Start, then Run, and type 'dxdiag' (without the quotes). When the Direct X Diagnostic tool window opens, click on the Sound tab. Look about half way down the screen for an area labeled Direct X Features, and a slider for Hardware Sound Acceleration. Move this slider two notches to the left to set the acceleration at Basic. Exit, and start up the game. If you still have trouble, go back into the Direct X Diagnostic Tool and change the acceleration to None. Grafická karta podporuje DirectX 12, doporučuji stáhnout a nainstalovat starší DirectX, který by podporoval Mafii, dále poté nastavit rozlišení na menší, je možné, že vyšší rozlišení tato hra nestíhá.Bohužel, když nepopíšete přesněji co je za problém, tak nemůžeme více pomoci. I have a fix for this. Run the cd directly from your cd - rom drive. Not the icon. Then choose setup. Then in the setup properties, instead of auto detect, choose the resolution your screen is set at, mine was 1440x900, then change the refresh rate from default to whatever your screens refresh rate is. Mine was 60 htz. See the error is a generic error which means it cannot detect your hardware configurations so you have to choose them manually. Those two changes are all that is necessary. With windows 8.1 and a hell of a lot better graphics card and memory now, it runs so smooth and you can really see how good the graphics were for back then!
