Running an HP laptop with Windows 8.0, Visual Studio 6 Pro. When I attempt to deploy ANY project, I get the error (429). Tried to figure can't create object out the issue by googling and reading all kinds of suggestions, but don't know which avenue to take. I hate to reinstall VB6 on this computer as it is Win 8.0 and when I did it the first time, it hung at the end (as I have seen it occurring with most others on the forum), but upon reboot, all seems to work fine, except when using the deployment wizard. Is there a workaround to deploy my projects? Specifically, at this time, I have a project with the only added component is the MSFlexgrid, and would like to deploy this soon. Of course, all other projects I might want to deploy are still an issue. If I don't 'deploy', but simply want to include the grid OCX for a friend's computer (also Win 8.0), what would I have to do to get that OCX installed?
