The error “Run run time error 438 excel macro Time Error 438 - Object Doesn't Support this Property or Method” appears intermittently when I am pasting contents to the document. Whenever this happens, I have to the click the “End”
Object Doesn't Support This Property Or Method Vba
button in the error message box, and Windows will ask whether to restart the application or not. At many times unsaved contents in the document will lost. 1. This happens most frequently when copying from IE contents, for example, Google News. 2. It happens less frequently when copying from other Word documents. 3. It still happens, but least frequently, when copying from the same Word document. I was unable to find a solution to the problem and this seriously affected my productivity. Could anyone tell me how to solve it? The most likely explanation is that your Normal template or an add-in contains a macro named EditPaste that intercepts the paste command, and it isn't programmed correctly. Press Alt+F8 to open the Macros dialog, and look for a macro named EditPaste (or maybe EditPasteSpecial). If you find it, select it and delete it. What was the error message or was there a message after the number? Always use

tags when posting code. I don't know the WordBasic object, but the .Call seems to fail. Maybe "GoldMineLink" is not a valid keyword, so the call fails. I'm not familiar to old WordBasic style, but if you say it is VBA (as assumed in Office 2003), then try to change WordBasic.Call "GoldMineLink" into Call GoldMineLink 'without quotes or try Application.Run "GoldMineLink" instead.
