'maximum'. It did it in about 4minutes. Another vistior mentioned a TDK CD worked as well to fix 4450 error. Good luck! Another 4450 iTunes error fix - capacity of your CD. For example, if total amount of memory your songs need are 750mb, but your CD is only capable of writing 700mb, you will get error 4450. In fact, when I wrote this article about switching the brands, what may have happened is that the Maxell's CD-R brand has bigger memory capacity... 800mb vs 700mb. The only problem with this, is that there isn't any FREE registry cleaners that can pick up the iTunes glitch, so if you are wanting it fixed, its probably best trying to borrow some software off of someone you know that works in the IT profession or the attempt to take your computer to a Professional PC techie'. In other cases (very rare tho) it can be caused by a failing DVD/CD burning device, in which will over time need replacing! Hope this information has been any use to anyone! Is a good idea to get this checked out though if your unsure of what it could be! As with anything technical these days, if its not working properly, don't try fix it yourself, take it to someone who works with these issues day-in, day-out and reduce the risk of making the issues worse! I found that by turning off the text preferences when burning a disc solves the 4280 error problem. A: Whilst I don't disagree with the above. I've had both these irritatiing error messages. I have found a solution which I haven't seen on any other forum. Initially I had the itunes 4280 burn error message, which mean't that the burn process was cancelled and the CD-r was turned into a useless 'coaster' (It had the playlist but no actual tracks). I tried ALL the various solutions across all forums: 1. Uninstall drivers for my Matshita (In Sony Vaio laptop) CD/DVD drive and replace them. Eventually found out that these drivers are native to windows and its best for them to be installed by the OS on boot up. So uninstalled, and rebooted - no success still had 4028 error. 2. Tried all the vari

In iTunes->Burn Playlist to Disc->Choose Options: Choose the option from the Preferred Speed pop-up menu, Change the CD recording speed, Specify a burn speed that is lower than the maximum speed rating for your optical drive. (try 1/2 that maximum speed ) Other possible variables: BE sure the disc is clean. Wipe the shiny surface with a soft, damp cloth, working from center to edge. Do not move, bump, or shake the computer while the disc is being burned. Use blank discs that are rated for the burn speed of your drive, or consider using a different brand of disc (excessively cheap or off-brand optical disks are known to have problems). Quit all open applications you’re not using. If your startup disk is nearly full, try to free up space on it. The amount of free space on the startup disk needs to be greater than the amount of data you’re burning. Erase unnecessary files. Back up files you don’t use often, and then remove them. Repair your startup disk with Disk Utility, in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder. If none of the above possible fixes work you could have a damaged optical disk drive.
