Author: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> at iss1 Date: 10/21/99 5:30 PM Hello, I am programming with OCF and GINA a login module in NT. I am using the GCR410 pure Java reader from Gemplus. When I try to execute an OCF application (after login with GINA), I get these messages (after Smartcard.start): Error 5 creating shmem Error 5 creating shmem Error 5 creating shmem Error 5 creating shmem Error 5 creating event Error 5 creating event Error 5 creating event Error 5 creating shmem Error pulsing ownedEvent But the application runs correctly (I think). What should I do? This class ID does not match the class ID 16777216 of the same transport https://community.rti.com/kb/what-causes-error-discovered-remote-participant in the local participant 'xxxxx'. These two participants will not communicate over the 'shmem' transport. is caused when two applications, one using RTI Connext 5.2.0 or later, and one using a previous release of RTI Connext, run on the same node and have the shared memory and UDPv6 transports enabled. The application running RTI Connext 5.1.0 or earlier will show the following error:can't reach: locator: transport: 16777216 address: 0000:0000:0100:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000 port: 21410 encapsulation: transport_priority: 0 aliasList: "" These applications will not communicate over UDPv6 and shared memory. If you need communication between RTI Connext 5.2.0 and previous releases, there are two options:Set the DomainParticipant's property dds.transport.use_510_compatible_locator_kinds to 1 in the RTI COnnext 5.2.0 applications. In this scenario, RTI Connext DDS attempts to communicate using multicast over UDPv4, throwing the above error. Therefore, if you need to run a DDS application and no network interface is enabled, you need to prevent the DomainParticipant from using multicast discovery. The easiest error 5 creating solution to this error is to disable UDPv4 and select Shared Memory transport. Note that by default, the built-in transports mask is set toSHMEM | UDPv4, so you need to add the following QoS configuration to modify it:

My application has two targets, but this error occurs on both of them. When error occurs, the simulated OS hangs — it displays black screen and no longer responds on any input. Simulator application itself does not hang — all menus are active. All other applications I've tried running (mostly Apple samples) do work fine. Purging of caches, rebooting and howling on the Moon did not helped. Rebuilding project from scratch did not helped either. I guess I have to do it again in smaller steps. Meanwhile, are there any other things to try than these below? Xcode | Empty Caches...
