There are still Classic VB developers, who post here, that don't really know it's a .NET forum unless they read the "stickified" posts on the first page, and they're not that obvious. So we still get Classic VB, VBA and VBScript questions here. There is a dedicated forum for VBA: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/isvvba/threads ...and now new Microsoft Office Developer forums: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/officedev ...but no Classic VB. :-(Paul ~~~~ Microsoft MVP (Visual Basic) Marked as answer by Martin_XieModerator Tuesday, June 08, 2010 12:06 PM Thursday, June 03, 2010 2:15 AM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote You might have to provide more details (portion of the source code that is causing this error). Is it possible for you to debug and see where exactly this is failing? Wednesday, June 02, 2010 9:05 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Could you post the co

Run-Time Error '5': Invalid Procedure Call or Argument I am referencing the "MSWord 10 Object Library" and sometimes this error occurs at some point after the application has opened MSWord 2002. However, this app has referenced the MSWord 10 Object Library for years, and this error just started occurring in the last few months. I am assuming I have introduced a bug somewhere, but no idea what might be causing it. The error does http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2454671/what-causes-vb6-run-time-error-5-invalid-procedure-call-or-argument not occur very often and cannot be reproduced by a user when I am standing there. The error forces the app to totally shut down. At the top of the sub that has problems put On Error GoTo MyErrorHandler and then at the bottom put On Error Goto 0 Exit Sub MyErrorHandler: MsgBox "Error " & Err.Number & " (" & Err.Description & ") at line " & Erl Rather than using a MsgBox as I have here consider writing down to a file instead. Also for Erl to work correctly considering numbering each of your lines. For VB6 a great plugin is MZ tools link which will help you add the error handling and li

Is it immediately on program launch? If so it may be something in your Form_Load() event. __________________ "With the appearance of the AddressOf operator, an entire industry has developed among authors illustrating how to do previously impossible ta
