How do I do this? I tried to move the existing exe file to another location and save new exe file but when I run the new one I get the following error: Runtime error 5 - Invalid procedure call or argument. What could be causing this error, and how can I fix it? vb6 share|improve this question edited Feb http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5012209/what-could-cause-a-runtime-error-5-invalid-procedure-call-or-argument-when-r 16 '11 at 6:37 Cody Gray 145k23276368 asked Feb 16 '11 at 3:23 SarahXP 123 5 Since you're getting a run-time error, the problem almost certainly lies with your source code. If you run the application from the VB 6 environment, the debugger should break whenever the run-time error occurs and highlight the lines responsible. If you could post that section of your code, we could be much more helpful. –Cody Gray Feb 16 '11 at 4:02 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote This can be as simple as passing a value that is outside the accepted range for a function, property, etc. share|improve this answer answered Feb 16 '11 at 15:13 Bob77 10.9k11530 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Hi, I think this is because of the second argument, "vbmaximizedfocus" maybe you don have the constants set, why dont you try using the constan's value instead, something like a = Shell("C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Iexplore.exe http://www.google.ca", 3) hope that helps Aug 20 '07 #2 reply P: 17 dennijr Hi, I think this is because of the second argument, "vbmaximizedfocus" ma
