This group is about Microsoft SQL server, but you refer to mysql in the question. If it is SQl Server then 50000 is an error code reserverd for general "user defined" error messages, so something in the stored proc is raisong that error. To determine why we would need the source code (at least) of that stored procedure. As for multiple clients/threads then yes it works fine, but it could be something in your stored procedure is not allowing for that.Mike Post #1334469 meetmohanatmeetmohanat Posted Wednesday, July 25, 2012 12:54 AM Grasshopper Group: General Forum Members Last Login: Tuesday, August 7, 2012 2:03 AM Points: 12, Visits: 30 Hi Mike,Thank you for your reply... I have replcaed few names(only company related names ,not any key words) with"xxxx" for security reason .. Could you guide us resolving this issue.. The database was previously SQL Server Express 2005 but is now running on SQL Server Express 2012. The issues relate to the RAISERROR command and changes in 2012. I have looked at the documentation for the new syntax but am unsure on how I can pass both the error number and the message to the website. Some examples of the RAISERROR commands 50000 in sql in stored procedures and triggers are: RAISERROR 50000 'Member with same Email address already exists.' RAISERROR 44447 'The record can''t be added or changed. Referential integrity rules require a related record in table ''tblBrand''.' RAISERROR 44446 'The record can''t be added or changed. Referential integrity rules require a related record in table ''tblFragranceHouse''.' I have changed some to the new syntax but am unsure if I have done this correctly or not. I understand that if I just pass the error text it passes error number 50000. But I'm not sure what to do about the other error codes. Any advice on how to translate these commands to 2012? sql-server sql-server-2012 share|improve this question asked Feb 10 '14 at 4:42 johna 3,66772548 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 4 down vote accepted SQL 2012 does not support the undocumented version of Raiserror The supported syntax is RAISERROR(@Message,Serverity,state); -- @Message could be message id , but it should exist in sysmessages, so if you want to send custom messages, I think you should add them sysmessages http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178592.aspx Or the other option is to use THROW http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee677615.aspx share|improve this answer edited Feb 10 '14 at 4:57 answered Feb 10 '14 at 4:51 Satheesh Variath 60039 The new syntax seems to allow returning
