XAF External Access Error: 502 Bad Gateway Started by Mark Douglass , 28 January 2011 - 01:40 AM Login to Reply 1 reply to this topic Mark Douglass Members #1 Mark Douglass 4 posts Posted 28 January 2011 - 01:40 AM Hi All,I'm hoping I can get some help with this problem. I have installed XAF6 (clean 2008R2) and I configured the external access with a temp certificate. It installs the external site in IIS as 8080. I then imported my true SSL certificate via the IIS SSL certificates console. I then went back into the Quick Start manager and re-edited the external interface The attached picture shows the completed Quick Start.I tried to access the external interface (within my own LAN) using servername.domain.name and I can verify all the DNS works perfectly (both inside and out). On the internal side, I have no problem resolving and using the web site but on the external side I receive the following error: Bad GatewayThe proxy server received an invalidresponse from an upstream server.Additionally, a 404 Not Founderror was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.-----
Citrix XTE Server at servername.domain.name Port 443I receive this error both on the server itself and on any workstation trying to access it (internally). I am also receiving an event ID 151 in the gateway log on the server.I have a firewall preconfiguredthis helpful | Created:12 Jun 2014 | Modified:14 Apr 2016 Languages log in to start download LOGIN Don't have an account? The IIS site, if accessed directly with the assigned SSL port of http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/281229-xaf-external-access-error-502-bad-gateway/ IIS, successfully appears on-screen with a prompt for a client certificate. Thus, IIS is confirmed to be functioning. When attempting to visit the site through Secure Gateway, end users see the following error: Bad Gateway! Solution To use certificate authentication with a Web Interface server, run the web server parallel to Secure Gateway. Problem Cause This is an unsupported configuration. Secure Gateway does not support client certificate checking during the SSL handshake. It supports TCP tunneling so that the user's HTTPS stream reaches the web server unaltered. This condition is true for the following: Web Interface sites present on IIS servers that are manually configured to require client certificates. Web Interface sites that are configured to use Smart Card authentication in any capacity. Applicable Products Secure Ga

Error 502 Bad Gateway after renewing the SSL Certificate Started by Joshua Glass , error 502 04 February 2011 - 11:58 PM Login to Reply 4 replies to this topic Joshua Glass Members #1 Joshua Glass 6 posts Posted 04 February 2011 - 11:58 PM HelloI am running Xen App Fundamentals 2.0 on a Windows Server 2003 box, i havn't had any problems like thsi before, when I went to renew my SSL cert this time around my provider error 502 citrix said that they have switched to 2048 encryption and no longer support 1024, so I can not generate a new SSL from the QuickStart Tool. I installed the new Certificate manually, SSL is valid and works, but I now get this error that says "Error 502 Bad Gateway" when you try to access the external portal. It was working before I renewed the SSL, it just said that the SSL was expired and no content could be run. It wasno't on XA Fundamentals, but you could give it a shot.Update your root CA. Thats what I had to do in my case. I think we were using GeoTrust and I downloaded their latest root certificate and it fixed my issue of going from a 1024 bit certificate to 2048 bits as long as your certificate is valid.Alan LantzSysAdminCity of Rogers, AR 1334-281673-1530083 Back to top Joshua Glass Members #3 Joshua Glass 6 posts Posted 05 February 2011 - 06:05 P
