What I learned at that time is, that the 502 error msg tells, either a fail during connecting a DHCP server (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) when the contacted server is trying to give you an IP, or an error when the server is trying to authenticate you. Most of the time, your computer is not the culprit, but it can be if your configuration is not appropriate to the server you are trying to connect. For instance if the DHCP server doesn't accept your network configuration. If I remember well, my friend met this error when he was himself using his own local network. I would suggest to check your configuration ( IP via DHCP in automatic mode rather than in manual, ... ) Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Paul Green1, Paul Green1 Sep 18, 2007 9:41 AM in response to Gulliver Level 2 (245 points) Sep 18, 2007 9:41 AM in response to Gulliver I wish I could help you, but I'm getting an error 113

How are you accessing the web? Are you using a firewall? Something along the way is conflicting with your request. - MT Back to top #3 TacoOrtega09 TacoOrtega09 Super Mac Geek Members 154 error 502 itunes posts Gender:Male Location:Indianapolis, IN Interests:Photography, photojournalism, teaching, music of all kinds not rap, politics, tennis and soccer Posted 17 August 2005 - 03:09 PM I use WiFi internet via link-sys router. I think it has a firewall, and so does my pc, and norton is picky, so I'm not sure which of the 3 is causing the problem. It started to work after i renewed the IP address, but then it stopped today. It causes more problems than it solves. Try disabling it before you check out the shopping cart. That might work. I think it is also only a problem on Macs, but can't be sure at this stage, I'll have try an identical setup on a PC. Thanks!
