Resolution: You can troubleshoot this issue as follows: Telnet to port 8080 of your primary tower and the backup tower from the connector machine. If connections to the both towers are blocked, your firewall may be blocking the connection error 503 iis to the port 8080 of proxy towers or you are having internal network issue. Please confirm with your network administrator that the connection to those proxy towers' port 8080 is not blocked. If you can reach the backup but not their primary tower, the firewall may be throttling the connection to the primary tower, meaning that the firewall saw the same IP address sending and receiving a large amount of web traffic and started limiting the connections. Configure your firewall to ignore the tower IP addresses or out them on the whitelist. Check whether the connector is hitting the limit of ephemeral ports While the problem is happening, run the following command from the Command Prompt on the Connector machine: netstat -na >C:\netstat.txt Go to Windows services panel, and restart the Proxy Agent service If restarting the Proxy Agent resumes the service, you may be experiencing an issue with the limit of ephemeral ports -- there may be more connections to that server than the connector machine can handle.
