on my wife's PC. I have tried everything that Comcast has suggested as well as removing my account and recreating it, turning esmtp server not available off McAfee Spam filters and repairing Microsoft Office. I believe that the problem started after I tried sending a large number of emails to the same address. I checked with Comcast to see if my account http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-networking/i-am-getting-error-554-error-number-0x800ccc6f-i/5b46e23b-db45-413c-91f8-c8de47630fb8 was flagged for sending spam and they said that it was not. I can send email from my browser using Comcast online with no trouble. Was this answer helpful? 00 · 02/24/2012 02:52 JPhillippy 1. Servers have a limit on how many recipients you can send to at one time. You may be exceeding the limit. Try breaking it down to a few groups & contact Comcast to find out the exact number of recipients http://ask.brothersoft.com/how-to-fix-server-error-554-error-number-0x800ccc6f-248635.html they allow. 2. Change the SMTP port to 587 and make sure: My Server Requires Authentication is checked. Verify all your settings: http://help2.talktalk.co.uk/email-settings-imap-pop3 You may also want to check the size of the Sent folder in Outlook Express, it needs to be under 2GB, if it's not rename it or clean it up. You may also want to consider switching to a modern email program such as Thunderbird, or Windows Live Mail if you can still find a download for that one.
