I appologize if this has already been answered before, I had a look around Google for a few hours and searched a few forums including this one but am still unable to find the solution. I've recently configured an ISA server that has 6 or so servers behind it. It's just hosting servers, that's it. Web server, database server, and mail server are the 3 main ones. I have a couple guys that I work with on various projects and the projects are all held on that network. There's no DHCP on that network, each of the server's has a static IP address in a range of only 10 IP's for the internal network. I decided to configure the ISA VPN to allow for the guys I work with to access the servers for administration. To do this, I didn't want to just forward RDP to the inside of the network, I wanted it to be secure when I and they work on the servers. So what I did was enable the ISA 2006 VPN server and start to configure it. This was my first time doing a VPN server with ISA, but it seemed very straight forward. It asked me to choose a range of IP's to add to a pool to distribute, so I said 192.168.0.11 to 192.168.0.20, since the first 10 are the servers on the inside. I don't need 10, but oh well, I'll add 10 for now. I changed the max amount of users to connect to 5 [I know, not 9, but hey, I'm just testing and there's only 2 of us right now]. Here's the deal. I can connect no problem. I allowed a group on the domain for VPNUsers access to login to the VPN [which contains me and my test buddy]. I can connect from my desktop here no problem, and from any other computer no problem whether it be here or somewhere entirely different, even my phone. I can connect using either mine or my buddies account. The problem comes when he logs in. If he tries, he gets one of multiple errors. I've seen about 3 different ones. Actually, exactly 3. I just logged in to the VPN on my MacBook Pro, and tried logging

Posted on January 28, 2014 by workinghardinit I was recently configuring a Windows Server 2012 File server cluster to provide SMB transparent failover with continuous available file shares http://forums.isaserver.org/%5BSOLVED%5D_ISA_VPN_allows_only_one_user_to_be_connected_at_once/m_2002096639/tm.htm for end users. So, we’re not talking about a Scale Out File Server here. All seemed to go pretty smooth until we hit a problem. when the role is running on Node A and you are using the GUI on Node A this is what you see: When you try to add a share you get this "Unable to retrieve all data needed to run the wizard. Error details: "Cannot https://blog.workinghardinit.work/2014/01/28/unable-to-retrieve-all-data-needed-to-run-the-wizard-error-details-cannot-retrieve-information-from-server-node-a-error-occurred-during-enumeration-of-smb-shares-the-winrm-protoc/ retrieve information from server "Node A". Error occurred during enumeration of SMB shares: The WinRM protocol operation failed due to the following error: The WinRM client sent a request to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually returned by a HTTP server that does not support the WS-Management protocol.” When you failover the file server role to the other node, things seem to work just fine. So this is where you run the GUI from Node A while the file server role resides on Node B. You can add a share, it all works. You notice the exact same behavior on the other node. So as long as the role is running on another node than the one on which you use Failover Cluster Manager you’re fine. Once you’re on the same node you run into this issue. So what’s going on? So what to do? It’s related to WinRM so let’s investigate that. So the WinRM config comes via a GPO. The local GPO for this is not configured. So that’s not the one, it must come from the domain. The IP addresses listed are the node IP and the two cluster networks. What’s not there is l

Been troubleshooting my RAS Win 2k3 hosted VPN connection today (worked yesterday). Have a new issue. When units connect we get past "Verifying User Name and Password", then hangs on Registering on network. We get one of two errors: Either "Cannot Retrieve Protocol Information Error 668: The connection cannot retrieve protocol was terminated" or "Invalid Handel Error 6" We are using the windows PPTP client for connections. 0 Question by:JamesonJendreas Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 5 Best Solution bydcsdave Have you tried going to Start/ServerManagement/Internet and E-Mail/Configure Remote Access and run through the wizard that way? I do however do it a little differently than what the wizard likes most people to do. When the wizard asks what type of VPN I click "custom" then on the next screen I click VPN. The default settings work every time I configure a new server. In some instances I go and change things but generally the defaults are pretty good. Another thing I do is build my own RAS disk instead of configuring it through the XP wizard. This has helped in some specific instances where the XP wizard doesn't work. 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1

It has now reached the deployment stage. KAME, the de-facto open-source reference implementation of the IPv6 standards, played a significant role in the acceptance and the adoption of the IPv6 technology. The adoption of KAME by key companies in a wide spectrum of commercial products is a testimonial to the success of the KAME project, which concluded not long ago. This book is the first and the only one of its kind, which reveals all of the details of the KAME IPv6 protocol stack, explaining exactly what every line of code does and why it was designed that way. Through the dissection of both the code and its design, the authors illustrate how IPv6 and its related protocols have been interpreted and implemented from the specifications. This reference will demystify those ambiguous areas in the standards, which are open to interpretation and problematic in deployment, and presents solutions offered by KAME in dealing with these implementation challenges
