2013 Posts 4 ERROR 603 Reset on Touch 9800 As soon as I downloaded a BBM application update and installed it, my phone app error 603 blackberry bold 9900 hangs and will display white screen Error 603 Reset. The whole thing will have to reboot before it will work again. I also observed other people have same complain after downloading the Bbm update. I even tried to http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000023951 delete the application to install the previous version which has been working well but the new one will not delete. Please what can I do? It basically states to "either perform a hard reset by removing the battery from the BlackBerry smartphone and reinserting it or perform a reload the BlackBerry Device Software." Greetings, Yesterday I noticed my battery was running down very fast. Then my 9700 (OS 6 bundle 2949) started showing serious signs of low memory. Looking at the app status, I see that the Blackberry OS/apps is using most error 603 memory, everything else is minimal. Finally I get the warning from the device about low memory and removing some apps. Then eventually white screen with "app error 603" on it and a small text 'reset' to click on. This has been happening for a day and a half despite multiple batt pulls, etc. I have no idea what's causing it--I haven't made any changes to device, software or apps. I'm a little hesitant to dive into the workarounds in KB23951. My device is the 9700, and I'm not getting the error occurring immediately following a reset.
