How To Fix Error 68 On Xbox 360 Hard Drive
Karma: 0#1 Posted by Ket87 (3840 posts) - 8 years, 8 months ago I turned my 360 on earlier how to fix error 68 on xbox 360 slim and a black screen with about 4 different languages popped up and didn't make any sense and at the bottom it said "Error E 68". And there was 1 flashing red light, I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmuB1fKkXX4 turned it off and started it back up and it was like nothing happened. What the hell did it mean though never did anything before or in the few hours since? This error means that the Xbox http://www.gamespot.com/forums/xbox-association-1000003/error-e-68-26171883/ 360 has insufficent power to function properly. This can be caused by an error in the hard drive or the fans that make them suck up too much power, it can also be caused if you have unnecessary accessories attached to the console like an external fan unit. Attempt to remove unnecessary accessories first, and then necessary components such as the hard drive and USB devices. If you have any case mods you may want to investigate those as well. E68, also known as Error 68, is quite common. Some gamers sometimes find it occur upon booting up, with about 4 different languages popped up. It means that Xbox 360 has insufficient power to function properly. It may happen due to a hardware failure within the Xbox hard drive, or you have unnecessary accessories attached to the console. To repair this error, take these steps: 1. Switch off your Xbox 360. 2. Switch it back on. If the code doesn’t recur, it may just be a random hardware fluke and you have nothing to worry about. Otherwise, do the next steps: 3. Switch off your Xbox 360 one more time. 4. Detach any unnecessary accessories. 5. Detach the hard disk drive.
