Unfortunately, I cannot provide the contents of StudyTable.csv, to protect the privacy of the company we're working for. EDIT I can vouch for the validity of the csv file though. It was exported from OpenOffice's version of Excel, and I went through and made sure it was valid. I have SQL Server 2008 R2 installed on a server machine and a linked server setup to an AS400 database using a IBMDASQL OLEDB Provider. I was error 7399 able to run queries against the AS400 database via the linked server using the four part query approach "Linkedserver"."Database"."Schema"."Table" till recently. For exampleSelect * from "AS400"."AS400DB"."SPRDQY"."CRYRECDL6"All of a sudden when my queries started to fail throwing of an error about the provider.Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 1The OLE DB provider "IBMDASQL" for linked server "AS400" reported an error. The provider did not give any information about the error.Msg 7330, Level 16, State 2, sql server error Line 1Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "IBMDASQL" for linked server "AS400".The strange part is that when I run the same select statement in ssms on my client machine connected to the same server instead of directly in the ssms on the server machine, the query works fine and gets me the data from the AS400. SSMS on both machines is sql server 2008 r2.I am wondering what settings in my SSMS on the server machine that are different than the one on my client thats causing the error.Any help would be appreciated.. ___________________________________________________________________If I can answer a question then anyone can answer it..trying to reverse the logic.. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Sdk.Sfc) Additional information: An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Micrisoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "SQL Server" for linked server "(null)". (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7330) How can i solve this problem? RepliesSebastian Sajaroff on Mon, 21 Oct 2013 13:06:24 Hi, On your SQL Server box, open DB2 CLI client (or the GUI one, whichever you prefer), connect to the server and database with the exact same password you configured on the linked server, then try a SELECT on any of the tables of your DB2 database. Does it work?Pradeep_DBA on Mon, 21 Oct 2013 13:46:51 Below link may helps you http://support.microsoft.com/kb/222937/en-us http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2151/how-to-create-a-sql-server-link-server-to-ibm-db2/ Check inLinked Server Providers is there DB2OLEDB is present or not if present then be sureoption Allow InProcess should be checked.Stayko on Tue, 22 Oct 2013 07:27:25 I used the same user and password which i used for the linked server and a normal SELECT worked on the DB2 database. The Allow INProcess is also checked I also worked with this tutorial http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2151/how-to-create-a-sql-server-link-server-to-ibm-db2/ the Test connection works but when i go down the folder to the tables i get the error which i described at the beginning. I tried the IBM OLE DB Provider for DB2 and this worked, but i would like to run it with the Microsoft Ole DB Provider for DB2Mike Yin on Mon, 28 Oct
