.NET Messenger Service. by Leo A. Notenboom, © 2005 Why am I getting error code 800701f7 in MSN Messenger? • I've received a small flood of reports of people having problems signing in to MSN Messenger. When they attempt to connect they're getting an error code 800701f7. • A quick look on the web indicates that 800701f7 indicates a "server too busy" state. And sure enough, when I go to look at .Net Messenger Status Page it, too, reports "Server is too busy". It's not reporting that as the .NET Messenger service status, it's reporting that the server is too busy to even return the status of the .NET Messenger service. (I'm also getting other errors on that site occasionally as well.) Or more simply: the .NET Messenger Service seems to be having some problems. There's no way to tell when it'll be back. The only advice I have at this point is to wait a while and try again later. Article C2267 - January 23, 2005 « » Share this article with your friends: Leo A.
