using it mainly in library. Hello, I have been trying to lay out a small PCB in Altium but i am getting huge numbers of errors. I put four different components into the library.......then put these on schematic, then transferred to pcb no problem.....but then as i added more compnents i am getting huge numbers of errors...as follows... The most common error i get is a little dialog box teraterm runtime error access violation at address popping up headed "Information"....it just says "please wait a moment", and a green scroll bar rolls forward several times underneath it. The other errors are here....each one separated by dashed lines... - - - - - - - --- - Catastrophic failure - - - - - - - --- - Access violation at address 00000000. Thanks In Advance.. Comment Cancel Post robertferanec Administrator Join Date: Aug 2015 Posts: 680 #4 09-15-2015, 11:47 PM Altium is "famous" for crashing. There are some certain situations or configurations which will consistently crash. Usually restarting Altium helps, if not, you need to find a different way to do the thing which cause crashing. I do not have preferred DRC settings, as I sometimes change them during design process (e.g. enabling/disabling "Un-Routed Net"). Normally I do not use things like "Testpoint" or "Signal Integrity", but the other rules are usually checked. When working with DRC, I recommend to use PCB Rules and Violation window (go to your PCB, go to the bottom right corner, click on PCB -> PCB Rules and Violations). Browse through the Rules, double click on Violation and try "Jump" & "Highlight" buttons. See the attached screenshot. If you can get into that account in Safe Mode then remove all entries in startup via msconfig. Then retry. If that does not work, rescue all data you can from your Administrator account, delete the account and recreate it. Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top ronniesonora Posts: 919 This post has been reported. The error means that a program you’re trying to run is trying to access memory that is already used by a program that is already running. I would try a "restore" to a point before you made the second user account and then try to made a new account. Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top wilson382 Posts: 39 This post has been reported.
