There is a subpages template that is in use, exists locally and on the server, and each subpage references the file. But when I updated powerpoint error accessing file the template, I wasn't prompted whether or not I'd like it to apply to the pages it's connected to, as I usually do. When I go to Modify > Update Pages, or frankly any of the other Template commands, there are no templates found. Template not updating child pages Want to Advertise Here? Solved Dreamweaver CS 5.5 Template not updating child pages Posted on 2012-07-03 Adobe Dreamweaver HTML 1 Verified Solution 22 Comments 1,154 Views Last Modified: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/207132 2012-07-13 Hi, I'm trying to help a customer with a template she's been working on. She uploaded the changes she made to the template, but the template will not update the child pages. I have tried to open and update the template, but when I save it, it doesn't ask if I want to update the child pages. So, I went to one of the child pages https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27778515/Dreamweaver-CS-5-5-Template-not-updating-child-pages.html and went to Modify > Templates > Update current page. Then it gives me an error message that says, "Error accessing file "Y:\Templates\ENRMD.dwt": file not found (error code 2). I had the girl who works with the site open the template on her local copy and go to Modify > Update Pages > Files That Use, it's empty. No templates show up. I have no idea what's going on because the file is there. You can see it in dreamweaver, in the Templates folder. Any ideas??? 0 Question by:savache27 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 70 Active today Best Solution byJason C. The website currently resides on a Windows web server and the site files reside in a folder named 'www'. Of course in DW the file structure reflects that on the web server and all files are in a 'www' folder. I am moving the website to a web host running Linux and have been told the site files are to be put in a folder named 'httpdocs'. The site is built on a template error accessing but on saving changes to the template the child pages are not automatically updated. I have to do each one manually - Modify/Templates/Update Current Page and that has worked fine in the present setup. Using vmware (a virtual machine on my PC) I took the site files out of the 'www' folder and put them into a folder named 'httpdocs'. Now when I try to update a child page after making a change to the template DW gives me an error code error accessing file 3 bad file path and continues to put 'www' in the path before the word 'templates' even though there is no such www folder. I see this in the child page: Code:
