When the splash screen appears, just select the option below the DEBUG option (DEBUG is the third option, so select the fourth). No need to edit the boot.ini for now, you could do it later when you error accessing can use windows already. NOTE: If the fourth option doesn't work, try the other options BUT remember their partition number. The partition number is the number enclosed by parenthesis after the word partition in the option label. The ME choice on the floppy doesn't work. ME boots straight from the HD but I get no booting choices. Boot.ini is the same in the floppy and the HD. All the floppy files were copied to the HD. I can explain how I got into this crazy situation if it helps solving the problem, but I'm keeping it simple right now in case someone has already seen this and know what is wrong. The problem can probably be solved by re-installing XP, but I really want to understand what is wrong right now. So please give it a shot. What do I need to do to make this dual boot work right (meaning, having working choices from the HD)? Thanks, WW #1 WoundedWallet, Nov 16, 2006 Bozo Galora Diamond Member Joined: Oct 28, 1999 Messages: 7,271 Likes Received: 0 you are probably missing bootsect.dos (512bytes) note that you need 4 files in "C" root with XP/ME dual (after "unhiding") ntldr ntdetect bootsect.dos boot.ini boot.ini should look like this (assuming C - ME and D - XP) doent matter how many partitions you have, (2) only relates to primaries Win 98/XPSP2 dual boot........
