Bug162723 - Error accessing problem marker from problem list Summary: Error accessing problem marker from problem list Status: RESOLVED INVALID Product: CDT Classification: Tools Component: cdt-core Version: 3.1.1 Hardware: PC https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=149648 Windows XP Importance: P3 normal (vote) TargetMilestone: 4.0 M5 Assigned To: Vivian Kong QA Contact: URL: Whiteboard: Keywords: Depends on: Blocks: Show dependency tree Reported: 2006-10-30 04:00 EST by Janees Elamkulam Modified: 2007-02-20 11:03 EST (History) CC List: 3 users (show) neerajbhope pvellan recoskie See Also: Attachments Add an attachment (proposed patch, testcase, etc.) Note You need to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=162723 log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug. Description Janees Elamkulam 2006-10-30 04:00:10 EST Problem: While a CPP Managed project is recompiling because you corrected a code problem, as the project recompiles you double click on the next problem in the Problem View, you get a ton of error messages. This happens both on Windows and linux, worse on linux, application seems to freeze-up for a few minutes while the project is recompiling. Expected Result: No error messages in the log Steps: 1.Open a CPP Managed project of a fare size, with multiple compile errors 2.Double click on the first problem in the list, correct it and Save. This will rebuild the project (Automatic Build). 3.As the project is rebuilding, double click on the next error in the list. 4.Error log view will start to fill up with messages ('Marker id: $number not found' and 'Error accessing marker type' messages). Comment 1 Chris Recoskie 2007-01-05 09:42:19 EST We'll take a look and hopefully fix this for 3.1.2 Comment 2 Vivian Kong 2007-0
