Symptom You get the error message and the reservation never gets approved. Cause Parentheses are illegal characters within room and resource names. Resolving the problem To resolve the problem, change the name of the room or resource so that it does not contain any illegal characters. If you try to create a room or resource in Notes/Domino 8.0.x or 8.5.x you will get an error. The room or resource in question may contain illegal characters because it was created in an earlier release that allowed them to be used. This issue can occur when the Resource Reservation database is moved to a different domain, but the users have not yet been migrated to the new domain. Migrating the users resolved the issue. This, of course, is the error "Error Accessing Product Object Method". Users see it when they open their mail files using an R8.5.3 client on an R8.5.2 server. I can fix it with code so that the error doesn't show when you open the mail file, but some users still see it when they go to their mail preferences. I'd love to have some code to tell me if the problem is going to happen on a given mail file. That would at least limit the risk and we could focus on a solution and n
