This involves installing a WAMP bundle. Once installed, the installation is tested http://nextup.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6090 by logging in to localhost and viewing some default pages. This works fine in Internet Explorer but Firefox falls over with the following error message.. error '8002801c' error accessing Error accessing the OLE registry. /iisHelp/common/500-100.asp, line 17 Chasing this through the web with various Google searches has convinced me this is beyond me.. Amazingly there is nothing in this forum that mentions this.. This happens when Firefox is started in Safe mode so I doubt that any extensions are at fault.. It also occurs error accessing the in Firefox 3 Beta but not in IE7.. It appears to be something to do with how Firefox handles ASP scripts.. Anybody got an idea/easy solution to this very annoying problem?? Thanks Richard jscher2000 Posts: 10033Joined: December 19th, 2004, 12:26 amLocation: Silicon Valley, CA USA Website Posted February 24th, 2008, 6:32 pm Firefox doesn't handle ASP scripts, that is all done in IIS, which delivers HTML to Firefox. (Or maybe if you have a third party add-on you could process ASP on Apache. I guess if you're using IIS, it would be a WIMP bundle.) Check out this thread (turned up in a Google search) for one possible reason you might get that message: http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread302057.html By the way, if your application security is set to require Windows credentials, you can reduce your pain by adding localhost to Firefox's ntlm trusted hosts list. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.autom ... usted-uris Does the blogging software provider have any documentation on this? Edit: In case the above link doesn't

It normally means that there was a problem with the install, and reinstalling TextAloud should fix it. You can always download the current TextAloud installer from http://www.nextup.com/files/ta3.exe.If you are running Vista or Windows 7, and reinstalling does not fix the problem, follow these instructions: right click the desktop shortcut or start menu entry you normally use to launch TextAloud, and select "Run As Administrator" from the popup menu. This should cause TextAloud to start with no errors. Exit TextAloud immediately, then see if you are able to launch TextAloud normally. If this doesn't help send us an email at support@nextup.com Jim BrettiNextUp.com Top Post Reply Print view 1 post • Page 1 of 1 Return to “TextAloud 3 Advanced FAQ†Jump to NextUp.com Text To Speech Software Products TextAloud 3 Forum TextAloud 3 Advanced FAQ Voices Forum TextAloud for iPhone/iPad TextAloud 2 Forum TextAloud2 Advanced FAQ Power Users, Beta Tests, In-Depth Discussions NextUp Talker Forum MP3 Players, TTS Software, Podcasting NextUp Talker Related News ClaroRead Forum Who is online Users browsing this forum: No registered users and 1 guest Board index All times are UTC-04:00 Delete all board cookies The team Contact us Powered by phpBB Forum Software © phpBB Limited
