When I tried to run my model on another computer, I got the same error message. http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?545433-RESOLVED-Sudden-quot-Error-accessing-the-system-registry-quot So the sudden appearance of this problem seems to be related to my model (rather than the VB 6 (SP6) installation on my computers that run on Vista). Would you have any idea how to proceed? Thank you for your help. I just close the IDE then open it back up again. It usually works on the 2nd try. No idea why. --DB Reply With Quote Nov 2nd, 2008,05:40 PM #3 FSPH View Profile View Forum Posts Thread Starter Member Join Date Aug 2007 Posts 36 Re: Sudden "Error accessing the system registry" I did that this morning without any effect. In fact, I shut down the computer and re-tried it right afterwards, again without any success. A few hours later I restarted the computer again, and then it worked. My problem may have had to do with the time switch last night (in Canada) from summer to regular tim
the system registry”. I don’t know how long this error has existed because I rarely look at Tools > Reference. The problem is in the standard user account that I usually use, but not in the administrators account that I rarely http://tokyo3.org/forums/holiday/topics/2965/ use. However, I tried creating a new standard user account, but the error occurs there as well. I’m running Office 2010 in Windows 7 on a PC that’s about six months old. There doesn’t seem to be any other http://forum.chandoo.org/threads/vba-error-error-accessing-the-system-registry.10869/ problem with the system (although a few days ago, I did have some sort of hiccup that seemed to be about the video card, and this was while Excel was in use, but I doubt it’s related). I assume you aren’t running Crystal Reports, but I guess that the repair suggestion ought to work. But I’d be tempted to run ccleaner first – it’s pretty good at cleaning up minor registry stuff. Welcome Message to New users Spam Sample File VBA Error: Error accessing the system registry Discussion in 'VBA Macros' started by texagg, Jun 26, 2013. texagg New Member Messages: 1 I was recently upgraded to a new computer with windows 7. I tried to run a macro in a spreadsheet (excel 2010) that is not very complicated and has worked fine and dandy for quite a while. I received "Compile error: Can't find project or library." I went to "References" in the "Tools" menu to update and then received this: "Error accessing the system registry." Does anyone know how to correct this? texagg, Jun 26, 2013 #1 Colin Legg Active Member Messages: 269 Could it be because of crystal reports? This is the first hit on google when I search for that error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/269383 Colin Legg, Jun 26, 2013 #2 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)
