covhill,Solvedanswer covhill Level 1 (10 points) A: OK just found an easy workaround to my problem.I opened it up in Powerpoint 2004 and re-saved it.After that, it opened up fine for me in Mac PowerPoint 2011.I'm still waiting to see if it'll work for the client on PC, butI have a good feeling it will.Of course, if you don't have an older ppt, this isn't of much help. It will work just fine as a presentation in that format on a PC or even on a Linux box. I use PDF format to distribute slides to the students for a class I teach. I usually present from KeyNotes but distribute in PPT format to share slides with others (pdf isn't really an option). The way I solved it was.Reinstall Office Mac:2008 - you can choose to Customise and only select Powerpoint if you wish (I have to run Entourage as well as we aren;t on Exchange 2010 yet but thats another story) Next export you Keynotes presentation on Powerpoint format as normal Open your exported ppt with t

It would assist if you mentioned what Mac you have, it's date of origin and the OS you are running. And I presume when you say you have "PowerPoint 2008" you mean Microsoft Office for Mac 2008? Have you been using PP previously without difficulty and now have a problem or is PP relatively new to you. All these questions may seem tiresome, but without this background information, it's really hard to offer "any tips". I have a MacBook Air Mid 2012 with OS X (10.9.5). I believe the Microsoft PowerPoint 2008 for Mac came as part of an Office package on my previous Mac. PowerPoint worked on my previous Mac and on this Mac when my files were first migrated from the previous Mac. However, it has not worked for over a year. Sadly, I've no clue why it stopped working - actually I CAN build a presentation, but I can NOT SAVE it without receiving the error message re accessing. Hope this info is helpful towards finding a solution. Appreciate your help! Carolyn Reply With Quote 02-26-2015,07:37 PM #

Though there are many advantages to Haiku Deck's mobile-friendly and lightweight HTML 5 capabilities and our Web App, we understand that sometimes you need to share via more traditional means. Other popular reasons for exporting to PowerPoint or Keynote include embedding video, adding presenter notes, or turning the file into an iMovie with an audio soundtrack, like this. In addition, you can always use Haiku Deck to prep then export to PowerPoint to add the finishing touches, like Kent Gustavson's talk for TedxSBU. You
