You will need to add the custom error bar data amounts to your worksheet first. Then go to the bar graph: Right click on a data series (in the Excel chart), Select Format Data Series, Y Error Bars tab, Select the display type. We go for negative, so when you go to the next error bars bit, make sure you put the cell references in the negative Custom area, via... Click in the Custom box (either + or - ) and navigate to the data you typed in. Then click OK and it should set to your custom points.
