Basically, I there was an error burning this disc windows 8 purchased some music, iTunes created the play list, I selected the play list and told 4280 error when burning disc it to burn a CD. I right clicked on Virtual CD icon in the task bar and on my virtual CDR I told what is a medium write error when burning a disc it to create a 700MB disc and insert it. iTunes sees it and then it says "checking playlist" and then it as soon as that is done, it briefly says it's starting to burn the cd when it http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-pictures/error-message-4000-when-trying-to-burn-cds-from-my/1b85c7fd-8ec7-4d43-8bc5-60a0ba1e42ca immediately switches to canceling cd burn and then shows a dialog with the following: The attempt to burn the disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4000). I've ensured I have 8.0.0.7 or vdrv8000.sys and I've tried different combinations of settings to no avail. Nero Burning Rom 7.0.8.2 burns to the virtual drive okay (tested audio burn with http://www.virtualcd.de/vcd/apps/support/cforum.cfm?forumid=106811&lg=0 MP3s) Burning to my physical Sony DVD is working okay. As I said, I did have this working at one point, but that was about a week or two ago and I have no idea what has changed.Ken|29.07.06| | Die Antworten wurden 48704 mal abgerufen Antwort schreiben: Rot = erforderliche Daten Name: Bitte Ihren Namen eintragen Bitte mehr Buchstaben E-Mail: Bitte Ihre E-Mail Adresse eintragen Ungültige E-Mail Adresse Betreff: Nachricht: Bitte geben Sie zusätzlich folgenden Zugriffscode ein: Zugriffscode Antworten: Some ideasLooking at Google it seems two that there are at least two possible ways to solve this problem: iTunes Error 4000 usually occurs when another CD burning program is running or another CD burning program has contents waiting to be burned or something else has set itself as the default burning program. Results may vary but it seems that if you go to the Control Panel and Add/Remove programs then scroll down to iTunes and click Change/Remove then select the Repair option, DO NOT select uninstall. This will reset all of iTunes default settings and should fix the CD burning issues you might be having specifically related to Error 4000.If this does not work you can go to the Edit/Preferences menu and on the Burning tab set the "Preferred Speed" to 8x instead of the default ("Maximum Possible").Please also make sure that you upda
audio cd, I thought iTunes for Win XP was a good program. However when I select my playlist and click burn, I get "unknown error 4000", and http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/itunes-error-4000-burning-cd.592821/ the burn is cancelled. Things I've tried to remedy the problem: -Change burning speeds from 1x through 48x -Make sure the disc is recognized. It is. -Try audio cd, mP3, data cd. -tried cd-RW and http://forums.ilounge.com/itunes-related-mac-pc-applications/30750-itunes-wont-burn-cd.html cd-R. -Reinstalled iTunes -I have scanned the iTunes help files and website. The closest thing I got to an answer from their crappy forums was, "haha burn in hell windows users". I'm surprised that no one error burning else has posted about this problem on these forums. from a few other posts I've come across out there in cyber space, it seems there are thousands of us having this error 4000 problem, but I haven't found an answer yet. Please, I'm begging you for some help. I hate to think that songs I've purchased, songs that are begging to get played from my stereo, are trapped in my PC. Music when burning disc is life.
