C1 error code - will not boot Started by SDC0603 , Feb 03 2015 06:02 AM Please log in to reply 1 reply to this topic #1 SDC0603 SDC0603 Members 22 posts OFFLINE Local time:01:35 PM Posted 03 February 2015 - 06:02 AM Hi All, so ive got a pesky problem with my PC that has stopped booting and doesnt get past a http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/565505/c1-error-code-will-not-boot/ C1 code on the motherboard. Its a few years old now (2007?) with an ABIT AW9D-Max motherboard, intel core duo E6600 @ 2.4ghz, corsair 2x1GB DDR2 RAM, Geforce 8800GTX graphics card with 768MB. Is there something this is most likely to be? The screen doesnt even flicker so has the graphics card gone? Or is this a memory/CPU issue not getting past the basic initial tests? Any ideas on testing or at least getting past the early boot sequence please. Thanks.... Try pulling the ram or putting in one stick at a time to see if its just one of the other ram that may have gone bad. Since your program is exiting with a code of 1, make sees that as an error, and then returns the same error itself. You can tell make to ignore errors by placing a - at the beginning of the line like this: -./tmp You can see more about error handling in makefiles here. share|improve this answer answered Oct 27 '10 at 14:34 Alan Geleynse 16.2k23147 I knew it was going to be obvious. Thanks (to everyone) for the very quick answers –csgillespie Oct 27 '10 at 14:39 1 +1, for the ignore part. –codaddict Oct 27 '10 at 14:39 Yeah I ran into this exact error a few months ago. I had to look up the syntax again to ignore errors though, its not something I use enough to remember. –Alan Geleynse Oct 27 '10 at 14:40 I love you hard. –hookdump May 24 '13 at 17:20 add a comment| up vote 4 down vote You're retur
