If you need to specify flags to pass to the configure script, you can edit the freetds.Slackbuild script to specify them in there. This will leave you able to much more easily manage removing the package at a later date if you choose to, or handling updates for newer versions of the code. share|improve this answer answered Aug 14 '14 at 19:06 0xDAFACADE 666216 add a comment| You must log in to answer this question. asked 2 years ago viewed 274 times active 2 years ago Related 0USB Wireless Adapter (Belkin F7D4101) in Slackware?3how to tune libstdc++ to the native architecture when building gcc0How to install lazarus on slackware 64 bit?2Bootstrap error while compiling GCC 4.8.01gcc-4.8.2 make command error0Make fails: implicit declaration error0Trying to configure iptables on Slackware 101Installing skype in Slackware x86_641Compiling gcc-c++ 4.9.2 -std=c++14 in CLion JetBrains IDE [solved]0Cannot install Hostapd in Porteus (Slackware) Ho

Software C compiler cannot create executables by BenV on Oct.26, 2009, under Software Yeah, I bet you didn't know that. You're so stupid. Anyway, this isn't the https://notes.benv.junerules.com/c-compiler-cannot-create-executables/ first time I run into this, so I figured it would be good to "jot this down" as Choco Billy would say. I got this error while trying to configure apache on http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/146402/configure-error-c-compiler-cannot-create-executables a new domU (which has almost no packages installed, which is why I ran into this): root@jemoeder:/usr/src/apache/httpd-2.2.14# ./configure $TEN_MILLION_OPTIONS_HERE checking for chosen layout... Apache *blablabla I'm a dumbass yadieya* checking for C error c compiler default output file name... configure: error: in `/usr/src/apache/httpd-2.2.14/srclib/apr': configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables See `config.log' for more details. Well, I'll give you the details: it's missing an assembler. You can find out about this if you actually bother to read the config.log file in the srclib/apr dir: gcc: error trying to exec 'as': execvp: No such file or directory The error c compiler simple fix: install an assembler. Slackware has the binutils package for that. slackpkg install binutils, done. :configure, gcc, slackware Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply. You must be logged in to post a comment.
