Error Cannot Open Networks Database File
shows an error: Error: Cannot Open Networks Database file rt i searched this problem with google and found a similar problem in google group: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/browse_frm/thread/2dc591a7d86cac93/2098e3ef88b80021%232098e3ef88b80021 i checked the registery and the file 'networks', all seems good.. then i try to see what the route have done when it runs with filemon. Surprisingly, i found that it is always trying to open file under "CURRENT_PATH\%SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc", CURRENT_PATH takes the place of my current path in cmd, so if i am under C:\, it would try to found the networks file 'C:\C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc', and then returns a not found error... Now i am troubled why it behaves like this...anyone has an idea? thanks~ . every time I make changes to the routing table with "route add" or "route delete" commands: Error: Cannot Open Networks Database file rt The thing is, the new routing table seems to show up correct, ie, the add/delete has taken place. However, this error message has been bothering me. One thing to note is it only happens very recently. Does anyone know what this means and how to resolve this? You may fix it by either deleting DataBasePath value an re-create it as
