up and rise to the top Google Chrome “Cannot set allocations” up vote 0 down vote favorite When starting Google Chrome I often get this error. Other times Chrome just plain crashes. Why is this? It happened in windows 8.1 pro too. Then I upgraded to windows 10 hoping it would fix it but it didn't. I did a clean uninstall of Chrome and clean installed it - no luck. I don't even have any extensions besides Adblock Plus. My laptop has (gasp!) 32gigs of ram by the way. 8mb cache i7 with a gtx 880m and a 500gb SSD, so what gives? google-chrome share|improve this question edited Aug 27 '15 at 13:39 asked Aug 27 '15 at 1:38 SuperR 2661212 Have you tried creating a new profile? Localizer only works with internal sensors. Check the device manager and see if it shows a Geolocation sensor. Windows location platform is nOT a geolocation device. I installed Localizer GUI on a Lenovo Thinkpad 10 tablet (20E3), which has a build-inGNSS sensor. I originally installed Localizer on a newly upgraded Windows 10 (upgraded from Windows 7) and it worked fine. But after installing all Windows 10 updates from Microsoft, Localizer reports "Cannot set allocations". Localizer was installed as administrator and I run the program as administrator.I also have tried to run it with Windows 8 or 7 compatibility with no success. Operating system is Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Device manager tells that the sensor is a Sierra Wireless GNss Sensor EM7345. Have also updated device driver to version 15.12.10223.1 from Microsoft. "Microsoft maps" works fine with the sensor. × Report Abuse Offensive LanguageWrong CategorySpam Cancel Send Report × Delete Confirmation Are you sure you want to delete this post?
