Now i had installed windows 7.When i am trying to reinstall the grub following error was came. "ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo mount /dev/sda6 /mnt/ %mounting disk drive ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sda6 grub-setup: warn: Attempting to install GRUB to a partition instead of the MBR. This is a BAD idea. grub-setup: warn: Embedding is not possible. GRUB can only be installed in this setup by using blocklists. When the computer starts, the BIOS will determine which device to boot from (based on your boot order settings). Should it be your first hard drive (/dev/sda), then the computer will look for a bootloader installed at the very beginning of the Master Boot Record (MBR), the first sector of the HDD. It says it "cannot stat", but ls -l works just fine, so stat is available on the files.
