Jan 18, 2015, 08:25 pm Last Edit: Jan 19, 2015, 01:41 am by Piethon 'Ello 'ello!I just purchased a TFT TouchScreen and am trying to run the example code there on the bottom. (Note: if anyone has any other code/ideas for this error cannot TFT screen, just let me know.) I believe I have the required libraries (I don't get any 'library not found' error), but when I compile the code, I get the following error:Quote'int color' redeclared as different kind of symbolat this lineint color = WHITE; //Paint brush colorI have tried searching around for this error, but can't seem to find anything. For what it's worth, the console outputs some stuff error cannot redeclare as well, this looks to be the most important error it shows:Quotesketch_jan17a:50: error: 'int color' redeclared as different kind of symbolC:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\libraries\TFT/utility/Adafruit_GFX.h:74: error: previous declaration of 'typedef uint16_t color'sketch_jan17a:50: error: 'WHITE' was not declared in this scopesketch_jan17a:56: error: 'TouchScreen' does not name a typesketch_jan17a.ino: In function 'void setup()':(then a lot more '[color]' was not declared in this scope).Any ideas? Am I overlooking something simple? Thanks for any advice!edit: here's the full codeCode: [Select]

I'm learning c, and made a program to calculate the distance between two points.. I got it to compile if my four input variables are xp1, yp1, xp2 and yp2. when I try to compile using x1,y1,x2,y2, I get the error: "error: ‘y1’ redeclared as different kind of symbol" why can I use x1, but not y1? thanks 11-03-2009 #2 Dino View Profile View Forum Posts Jack of many languages Join Date Nov 2007 Location Katy, Texas Posts 2,309 You've done something wrong.
