In Device Manager, expand category DVD/CD-ROM drives. Right-click on the DVD/CD-ROM device under this category. Click Uninstall, and then reboot your PC. ldap error code 19 2. Please follow the steps below carefully, as serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. (5) If you do not see UpperFilters and LowerFilters, select all files and delete

When I attempted to un-install then re-install I was unsucessful at accessing the drive. Once again I got the "error code 19" that when I googled told me it was a registry error. I need advice as to how to correct this and restore the drive's operation. In addition, I am unable to complete a System Restore to an ealier point--Vista states that it encountered an error during the restore and then goes back to the current configuration. I considered editing out the reference to the drive from the registry, but I do not have much experience doing that. Currently, my plan is to replace the CD-ROM/DVD drive.I notice that your post was made a month ago.
