10243 Thread Tools Show Printable Version Email this Page… Subscribe to this Thread… 11th Oct 0710:25 PM #1 Dogar Guest Patch Error Code 10243 Installed patch, for some reason it didn't take, and I get this message whenever I try to install it again. "This patch has already been installed. The patch was aborted before it was completely applied. You may have to reinstall Company of Heroes" Thanks to the shoddy steam version of OF, I've already installed and re-installed OF 3 freaking times. Is there any way I can fix this problem without having to wait a whole day for the game to install again? Any steam users? I can start my vCoH shortcut, still pick PE or the Brits, but I don't have any sound for them. What in the world? I'm tempted to copy everything over from the OF folder into vCoH and just maybe nuke everything... who knows, maybe the sounds will get plugged in somewhere? edit : Hrmm.. I plugged in data that I downloaded for Opposing Fronts off of Steam into my vCoH (retail purchase) folder (mostly from D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes\WW2 to E:\Games\THQ\Company of Heroes\WW2, but there are also a few files from the \Engine\Movies that also need to be copied.) (Read 812 times) bigconig Ingenery Posts: 5 EF doesn't know Coh http://www.easternfront.org/forums/index.php?topic=5991.0 is up to date. « on: May 28, 2011, 03:56:45 PM » Ok, I couldn't find anyone with a similar problem, so maybe someone has an idea.I launch EF launcher (1.4) game http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/stubborn-backdoor-infection.183964/ starts and (coh) tells me I need a patch of 156mb (2.602) if I say don't download it only lets me play off the CD. If I say "do download" it says download error code complete immediately and tells me to restart game. Terrific forum for troubled users. I discovered that Windows Defender preferences had been changed to manual. Ran SystemCare 5 which discovered a Backdoor trojan. Sorry, I did not keep the details. Now I can boot up but if I attempt to install another malware like Comodo, I get a BSOD. I have run Roguekiller and attach a report.
