I do not have access to iis on build machine or the services like I do on my local dev machine. The unit tests work on my local dev machine but they run in to error mentioned above on build machine. What can I do to debug this error? I have read things like check the fire wall etc. But I do not know how to do that? I can not check if the windows service for this service is up and running on the build machine. I tried to log into the build machine or connect my IIS to this remote machine but I could not. c# wcf share|improve this qu
SERVER – Could not connect to TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it October 20, 2010Pinal DaveSQL, SQL Server, SQL Tips and Tricks22 commentsI was recently getting following error in my StreamInsight Application.Could not http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2010/10/20/sql-server-could-not-connect-to-tcp-error-code-10061-no-connection-could-be-made-because-the-target-machine-actively-refused-it/ connect to TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.The solution was very simple, I had to enable exception of the my port in my windows firewall. The way I figured it out was by quickly disabling the firewall (it was not a production server). Once I disabled it, the application just worked fine; this was a sign that error code the firewall was the cause of the issue, I right away enabled firewall and added my port as exception. So many errors have cropped up recently due to the connectivity issue. I have started to make my routine to check firewall first before I move to next action item in my troubleshooting list. When I sent this detail to my internal technical list of the expert, I got error code 10061 the suggestion that this error happens due to many other reasons as well and not only due to firewall.I am interested to know when and how this error happens and what is the resolution. This way, if we have complete list, we can avoid this error in future.Watch SQL in Sixty Seconds video to Resolve Connection Error: Reference: Pinal Dave (http://blog.SQLAuthority.com) Tags: SQL Error Messages1Related Articles SQL SERVER - Installation Error - INSTALLSHAREDDIR parameter is not valid because this directory is compressed or is in a compressed directory February 16, 2015Pinal Dave SQL SERVER - Fix : Error : Msg 15151, Level 16, State 1, Line 2 Cannot alter the login ‘sa', because it does not exist or you do not have permission December 26, 2008Pinal Dave SQL SERVER - Fix Visual Studio Error : Connections to SQL Server files (.mdf) require SQL Server Express 2005 to function properly.
