I have a pretty strange issue with a company Canon 2525iR that I'm hoping I could get some guidance or clues with. The short of it: Could the error code #0806 (when doing a scan-to-email) have any other implication besides having an incorrect destination email? canon digital camera error codes The long of it: We have three of these machines in use at different offices, all constantly scanning documents to email. Twice in the last two weeks, no scan to email messages from one of the machines would go through to any email address for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the other two machines continued working normally. The error report displayed the code #0806, which (according to Canon) means: An incorrect destination was specified for the sending of an e-mail message or I-fax. Which doesn't make sense, since at no point was the destination address changed. During that 20 minute period, they continued to send documents as normal, until the error reports printed out all at once. 70 failed messages printed one after the other. That was when they alerted me. I was able to reach the system's remote UI immediately, and none of the office's systems went down during the 20 minutes, so my assumption is that they did not lose connectivity. I did some troubleshooting and head scratching for about 10 minutes. Without doing any changes at all, I had them send another test and it went through without error and has continued to work since then. So then here I am, stumped. Any thoughts, suggestions, or further questions would be much appreciated.
