I'm still running Win2K SP1 and wondering if SP 2 would fix it. It worked great for a long time, then one day I just started getting the error and havn't been able to connect since. I can go from my XP machine to my vista machine no problem still though. Very odd and annoying. FROM USER: Any work I have open in an existing session is error connecting being lost. I typically log in and then will perform some work. When I get home I typically reconnect and then continue my work.  I was able to log in after the error. But if I had disconnected and tried to re-login, it would give me the error and bring up a new session. I would lose any open files I had. I have received the following problem on the same day each of the last three weeks. And it requires a reboot of the remote computer, and then it works fine. The problem is that someone isn't always available to reboot the computer. This is the error message: "Error connecting to existing session for {username} (Id 0) A device attached to the system is not functioning." I have a dell dimension 4300, running xp pro sp2.
